Today's isolated incident is local to me. King County (the one containing Seattle, Redmond) deputy who is head trainer on the SWAT team pimps his wife out, supplies her with drugs, uses steroids, steals thousands in ammo from the dept, trades some for the drugs. Looks as though many on the team with him probably knew about this. Only came to light after he beat on the woman he was pimping and she told someone.

Sheriff seems to lack appropriate concern here.

"What we're dealing here is police corruption. Yeah, it's Seattle style. We're not talking L.A. or back east or anything like that, but to a certain extent, it is police corruption," said Urquhart.

That was particularly disappointing. Ken Campbell was one of the most pro-gun sheriffs out there. He is/was a Gunsite instructor and brought in tons of training opportunities open to people on both sides of the badge.  I haven't seen any indication what he did was illegal, but it was certainly a terrible thing to do to his wife and family.

Never heard of a cop shop testing for 'roids.  I doubt they test for 'roids in the military yet, either.  Didn't when I was in.  Lots of .mil and LEO types roid up.  Some, it gets in their head and they go off the deep end.  I suspect they were already inclined to nuttery, though.  Others, they just recover more quickly and carry more muscle mass. 

Thing is, these days dealing in roids and HGH is a fool's game.  You can go to an "anti-aging" doc and if you got the cash, you can be prescribed enough testosterone and HGH to float Sylvester Stallone's yacht.

At least his was a real apology.  Did not put a gloss or spin on it.

According to the charging documents, Holiwell was tipped off to the investigation and sent out the following text message prior to his arrest:

"The storm is coming, but I got something for their asses. Hang on, it's about to get real."

Wonder how many hard drive crashes they've had to engineer in a hurry to get rid of whatever evidence he had on some important person.
