I aw a news story where some fatty public safety trough-feeder was going on about it's going to take a long time to repair and how ATL folks are just going to have to adjust.

I remember that when the Northridge earthquake struck L.A. we lost a section of the 10 FWY and it was estimated it would take two years to fix. Gov. Pete Wilson demanded the fwy be repaired in months rather than years and offered a bonus and waived all red tape to get it done. And it was.

It's one of the few times I've ever been happy with a politician.

So Blimpie McGrubby has to step up his game.

Also couldn't Army engineers bridge that gap in a matter of hours with a structure that can take the weight of tanks? So it would support trucks no problem. So you could get some use out of it.

Repair one lane in both directions while using the the temporary bridge then do the other lanes.
