Robo Political Phonecalls
« on: November 01, 2010, 01:14:12 PM »
Every day for the last three weeks there has been a RoboCall on my machine or interrupting me during the weekend. That's expected this time of every second year. What I'm complaining about is the calls from out of state trying to get me to vote for people or initiatives that aren't for my district.
So, I just erased a "Please vote for me" from Kathy Castor from Stockton CA. I wouldn't vote for Castor if I could and what do people in CA care who I vote for?
Just venting, I'll be happy for six months of peace until they start running for '12.

I don't think I have ever gotten an out of state political call.

I at least appreciate the political calls for actually leaving a message versus just ringing my phone and hanging up when the machine answers.

I have caller ID.  If it isn't someone I know, I don't bother.
OTOH.... the phone has been ringing a LOT and some of these are polls and political organizations wanting $$ or to prompt me to vote.
I don't need "prompting."
And the phones are beginning to aggravate my tinnitus.

Sorry, I don't believe robots should have the right to vote.  ;/

I cannot wait until Tuesday night 7pm rolls around.  I've had 2 so far tonight and one of them was from the city next to us and we have no say in it.

I have caller ID and when the robots don't block it I look up the area code, if it isn't mine, 727, or 800 it has been out of state.
