Can 2020 get any more bizarre?

All it needs is a Mandalorian and Baby Yoda.

I am not exactly sure what I am looking at here.

That's because you're not sufficiently woke, you cisnormative colonialist oppressor.
But seriously, to think that art has gone from St. Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel to . . . whatever the hell this is.
-
This Pope has got to go.
-
Maybe they are trying to tell us they knew all along about the alien life secrets Trump is sitting on. Special extra-terrestrial delivery.

Ditto. I even tried my Bizarro eyeglasses. No joy.

Why is the facehugger on the astronaut's chest?
-
Sad.
Catholics used to be pretty good at communicating the gospel through images. Not just in a few, high-profile artworks, but through something as ubiquitous as the crucifix. A man nailed to a wooden crosspiece, his body twisted in pain. Powerful; relatable. Then there's this spaceman with a baby bjorn, and a B movie monster behind them. What in the actual?

You're not the only one who saw that ..... thing and thought: ALIEN.

That my friends is modern art.
The point behind it is to be absurd, disturbing and defiling by claiming to represent the true, good and beautiful.
It is subversion and propaganda not against Christianity, but against the very individual that trusts and believes in God.
It is not a nativity scene. It does not represent anything Christian.
Words have meaning.

That’s exactly what it is for- to destroy beauty/asthetics and demoralize.

This Pope has got to go.
He's not like a regular pope. He's a cool pope.
-
He's one dope pope!

Like this?
And your tax dollars help pay for it

What do you think the reaction would have been from the left not to mention certain others if it was Muhammad instead? Think the "art" galley would still be standing?
-
Can't you see it isn't a Nativity scene but a summoning by the Catholic church for the demon Flauros to kill all the heretics on the Solstice.

"Cool" is another way of saying "Not so hot."
Pope Francis - President Harris - it seems we've somehow become the Bizzaro World I read about in comic books when I was very young.

Ron said,

Allow me to amend that slightly:
"...but against the very individual that trusts and believes in God or his own sensibilities and rationality."
(Please note the "or.")
In other words, so that ultimately we will accept the notion that 2 + 2 = 5.
Doesn't most of the crap from the leftists this year fit that motivation?
We have a whole thread on "AOC's" pronouncements. Look it over. Preponderance of evidence?

From the Twitter comments: "He's more likely to speak Ex Catheter than Ex Cathedra."
-
I guess just be glad they didn't make it a scene of Mary aborting Jesus

Is the astronaut holding a bowling ball?

Fractured mental / visual processes were involved.

I suspect what it will end up being is a copy of an idol excavated from the ruins of an ancient Sumerian city.

Is that a fancy way of saying schizophrenic and/or psychedelic?
