Title: The Oatmeal and Nikola Tesla
Post by: MillCreek on August 22, 2012, 08:49:38 AM
http://blog.seattlepi.com/thebigblog/2012/08/21/the-oatmeal-raises-880000-to-buy-tesla-museum/

Earlier this year, the Oatmeal did a webcomic on Nikola Tesla.  Recently, Mathew Inman has spearheaded an effort to buy the Wardenclyffe laboratory site for an eventual museum.  I hope they name the Inman wing after him.

I'm offended by Matthew Inman forcing his beliefs about Nikola Tesla on the rest of us.

I'll be donating as well. Tesla gave the world so much. AC power, radar, radi, sentry coils in Red Alert, etc etc.

I'll be visiting the site as well once the museum is up and running.

You're shock and outrage indicates high stress levels.

You should try meditation. Just sit quietly and say "Ohm".

Indeed.  With everyone all amped up around here, there has been quite a lot of tension.

He purportedly invented a death ray, but the .gov grabbed it. It's probably in the basement of the White House ...

I've been reading some of Tesla's writings lately. Dude was weird.  No coffee, no sex (EVER), and he had weird flashes where he saw himself in different places.

Trust me, having both doesn't mean one DOESN'T invent death rays.

I mean...so I've heard....there is this friend of mine....I mean, one could easily...It's not REALLY a death ray...

Ah, hell.  KNEEL BEFORE ZOD.

Supposedly he claimed Martians were talking to him later in life?  Dude was a genius, but the cheese had slid off his cracker by the end.

How do you know the Martians didn't talk to him? Did they tell you different?....

With that kind of money they have the potential to transform his workshop into a nice museum that will illuminate the next generation.
