Don't know if there is a thread started but just read in drudge that's he gone.
I seem to remember he wasn't very 2A friendly but I always enjoyed his
writing.

No link because I only have a few minutes at the library.
I miss you folks, still no PC to call my own after psycho ex stole it.

If it helps, I have a PC I could let go of.  I also have a new keyboard and mouse.  I could also look around for a monitor, but you're probably better off checking the thrift stores for that.  Shipping would be too much.

Thank you very much kind sir!
Let me figure out what kind of modem I can use where I am, no cable where I'm living right now.
& I may not stay there long.

Cool.  I was fixin' to give it to someone, anyway.

It's nothing fancy, kinda slow, but it should get the job done.  It has an ethernet (Cat5) port, so you can hook it up to a DSL modem (or cable, I guess).  I should have a dial-up modem I can stick in there, too.  I have three or four of those I don't need, so no sacrifice for me.

Are you in San Francisco now?

Edit: Sorry.  Saddened to hear of Mr. Safire's passing.
