Sword fight between Mal and Atherton.  It starts off with some advertising stuff, but isn't too bad.  Enjoy.

/goes to check if I found this from a link here or on my youtube suggestions...

Hey! Looks like I might have gotten it from the youtube suggestions!

If you're interested in fight analysis, this lady has a channel with similar analysis, but from a fight choreography (rather than actual combat) perspective.
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

I am typically more interested in the history and basic technique used for the weapons.  I always liked reading about military history, but seeing videos on how various weapons were thought to be used is a detail it is hard to get in an article or book.  Scholagladitoria did a couple of videos with Lindybeige a while back doing sword versus spear match ups, one on one and with groups.  The spearmen won a large percentage of the time even though most of the participants had not done much training with spears.

The story telling aspects of the choreography are interesting too I guess but less so for me.  It is good to be aware of what they are trying to do.  Thanks for sharing that link.

Spear vs sword is very likely the rifle vs handgun of the ancient world.

Engaging the enemy with your weapons while out of range of the enemy's weapons has always been a good idea.

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

Always loved how Tim Roth's character toys with Liam Neeson's character like cat with mouse.  Then finds out why you shouldn't hesitate to finish an opponent.

I saw the beginning of Rob Roy.  I never got around the watching the entire movie.  I need to do that.
