Bogie did you say you know someone that fixes those old hafler amps? I have or had if I can find them 2 of those bad boys, if I remember correctly each of them had one dead channel. And they don't look like they went down a flight of stairs.
I needed a mod to change my signature because the concept of "family friendly" eludes me.
Just noticed that a mod changed my signature. How long ago was that?

I know an guy up near Chicago who likes to rebuild them... E-mail me at bogie@creativeaccuracy.com and I'll try to hunt down his info. He's reputable, and won't hurt you.

If you wanna get medieval with 'em, John Hillig a few miles from here does very nice stuff with 'em, but you'll spend some serious money...

Hold on, I'm checking under the couch cushions for change !!!!
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

You buncha cheapskates.  Dontcha know that land is gonna be worth a fortune someday?

[TV Announcer Voice] Land is at it's highest price ever.  Act now and cash in on rising property values.  You can't wait - this offer will not last long!  But wait, there's MORE...! [/TV Announcer Voice]

Funny you should say that, I have a house listed in Roaring Springs.

Go to LubbockDreamHomes.com and enter MLS number 9955340.

They have dream homes in lubbock?

I've had those dreams before. I usually wake up shivering and crying like a little girl.

Nah, you're dreaming about Irwin.  If it was me, you'd have slit your wrists in your sleep.

Who owns the minerals?

Did the RR grant any utility easements that still affect the property?

Has the lot ever been exposed to hazardous waste, underground storage tanks or other environmental conditions which may restrict the purchaser's use of the property, subject the purchaser to existing, foreseeable or unforeseeable remediation expenses, and/or be a source of potential civil or criminal liability?

Was the location ever used as a burial ground for slaves or Indians?

Any gang problems in that part of town?

Auction description.

You have to have utilities to have easements.  This is Foard county.  They just got their first flush toilet and are still trying to figure out how to operate it.

It stopped glowing last year and I'm told the smell should go away.  Eventually.

Probably.  Plus a few cross burnings and ritual sacrifice or two.  But the devil worshipers who have their annual enclave there haven't mentioned anything odd.

No.  All the gangs seem to get along fine.

Sounds like a great place to build a porch for the old travel trailer I'm going to buy someday.  Until then I could just sit on the porch with my favorite folding chair and cooler (purchased from the Wal-mart Super Center in Vernon) and shoot empties with my Red Ryder.  smiley

Works for everyone else there.  Don't see why it wouldn't for you.

And here I sit in a $300k house on a 25.5' x 90' lot.

I could be a real landowner. It's almost enough to make me retire and move to the country.

There won't be on the one I supply, nor have I seen any on the docs dad received when he got the lots.

Yep, and once they figure out how to drive the septic tank they're going to invade either Mexico or Oklahoma.  grin cheesy

I wouldn't mind buying a cheap rental in Texas.  Like an inexpensive condo in Austin that stays rented.  I've got 20k, Brad, what will that buy me?

This is actually the post that made me sign up here, after it showed up linked in the RSS feed of one of the blogs I read. Can't believe that land can be had so cheap, even if it's out in the middle of nowhere. Hell, I live in the middle of nowhere in Virginia and bare brush property still sells for around ten times as much.
I have axiomatic cephalopinatatism. I believe that other people's heads are made of paper mache and if I beat on them with a baseball bat, candy and small toys will fall out.

Well, welcome to wherever we are...

Texas is a different country. There's a whole lot of it.

And it's REALLY boring to drive through.
