The British press is reporting the settlement was for 12 million pounds, or 16 million USD.  The plaintiff's charity received two million pounds and the plaintiff and her lawyers received ten million pounds.  Prince Andrew paid for this from the proceeds of selling his chalet in Switzerland.

Can someone help me explain the charges against Andrew?

The alleged victim was 17.  Is that below the age of consent in NY (or where ever)?

Is he supposed to have forced her to have sex or what?

"model scout"   Hmmm.

Mid to high '90s some time, our older daughter got pointed to a "modeling opportunity" by one of her friends.  She's have been 13, 14, 15, somewhere in there.  We showed up.  They talked to her.  "Oh, I'm sorry, we can't use you."

Ever since the Epstein thing became well known, I've wondered if we didn't miss something awful.  Possibly because we were an intact family with involved Dad.
