The Army has gone to a more Brigade structure then a Division structure. There are "rotational units", brigades that go to Germany or Korea to train using existing equipment that remains in place, so all we do is fly troops and their personal equipment to that location, rather than having troops permanently stationed in Korea or Germany. So the Army saves money not shipping Joe, his family, and all their *expletive deleted*it to Germany for 4 years; but instead, he gets a 9 month separation from his family while he trains in Korea.
