I work at a court in Ohio.  I'm on a safety and security committee, and as such I get info on security concerns.  Sheriff's Department briefed us on a threat Friday. 10/13.  Apparently Hamas has called on all true believers to strike out against Isrealis and those who support them on 10/13.  Not worried, but concerned enough I'm packing a go bag with extra mags for Friday.  Because there are enough true believers here in CONUS that a few might just heed that call.

You obviously don't understand the mentality. To a true believer, dying in a lone wolf attack is a glorious martyrdom, certain to be richly rewarded in the afterlife, as long as they take a few infidels with them.

In general, not as an absolute, until Muslims hit around 10% or so of the local population they do a pretty good job of not rocking the boat. 

Could they stage an attack here?  Sure.  Will they?  Pretty darn unlikely. 

If I was in Seattle I’d be more nervous.

In a supremely optimistic view, if even the few cause a big enough ruckus, it might cause some of our obscenely naive and childish "love and peace" idiots to wake up and shake off some of their "woke" outlook.

And it doesn't take 4% to cause a big ruckus.  It doesn't even take 1% of 1%.

2-3 years back, when we had the Floyd/BLM/Antifag  riots, there was some effort to raise a rukus in my little city.  Gunned up then, for a while.

Now, not seeing anything or getting any bad vibes.  Not planning on making any changes.  (6 shot .38 snub, couple speedloaders..)

I'll have a long gun within easy reach for the next week or so, but I have to drive past CAIR HQ to get to work, and already drove into one demonstration with masked dudes waving Hamas flags.

One bright side (I guess) is that real attacks take planning and preperation,  so if anyone jumps at this it'll be the lone guy on the edge that shoots up a synagogue or mall type, rather than the Hijack airliners type.

Pretty low risk here in the rural Midwest. I’ll strap my Glock and a mag or 2 for awhile instead of my little single stack 9 so about 3X normal round count. At home here in the sticks? Usual light small arms and accoutrements.
I can’t get too involved in jihad defense, I’m making venison sausage.

I don't foresee a coordinated attack because I don't see how a significant attack against the US would be in Hamas' interests.  I'd say logistics and planning preclude it as well, but Hamas started the engagement; if sufficiently organized they could have prepped an attack in advance.

I think a lone actor killing a handful of folks before getting taken out by law enforcement is the most plausible scenario.  I think even that's unlikely.

Obviously like anyone else in places where self-defense is promoted, I'll have little to worry about and don't have any changes to make.

I just saw a map flash on the TV showing where police are upping security, and it was mostly all the big cities where we have seen antifa and BLM activity in the past. Hmm.

I'm not sure that Hamas is particularly good at acting in Hamas' interests.  But I agree that a coordinated attack is unlikely.

I don't have a good option for securing a long gun in my truck, so while I grabbed some extra magazines for the G19, I didn't grab an AR.  I did consider it, though.  I left the plate carrier at home too.

The only significant Islamic group I drive past is off the freeway, so I'm not all that worried about getting caught up in a conflict there.

I also heard that the "day of rage" business was a bit of a mistranslation from what was actually said.  We'll see.

He's kinda out there on some stuff, but he does make a good point about truck guns. I'm complacent there myself. There's zero reason that I can't just keep my M&P15 or even the PSA Freedom Rifle in the vehicle 100% of the time.

Maybe it was to their advantage to quietly allow them to sneak attack first.  Sneak attacks don't often work out well for the sneaker.  The morale boost to the sneakee seems to usually work to the sneaker's ulrimate disadvantage one way or another.
