Where is Your Economic Patriotism?
« on: July 16, 2014, 01:34:46 PM »
So the Secretary of the Treasury has made a speech saying that corporations are not patriotic, because they are taking money offshore to avoid US Corporate taxes, which happen to be some of the highest in the industrialized world. He said they need to show their economic patriotism by keeping all their assets here and paying their "fair share". I couldn't help but think he should have been wearing a red British uniform from the 1760s when he was giving the tax speech.

It's pretty interesting that the administration is so blind that they don't see that a majority of the foreign countries US Corporations are going to are pretty socialist leaning, but somehow understand the negative effects of taxes on business better than capitalist America. When you have US Corporations flocking to Ireland, maybe it's time to reevaluate. In the meantime, the administration is pushing for legislation that would only allow corporations to move assets offshore if they became 51% owned by a foreign entity. Way to continue to kill America, progressives.

Counter-revolutionaries will be apprehended, judged in a People's Court, and their assets WILL be appropriated. For the good of the people.

Obama said that Bush 43 adding $4,000,000,000,000.00 in debt over 8 years, kicking the debt up to $9,000,000,000,000.00, was "unpatriotic."

National debt is now over $17,000,000,000,000.00, so Obama has ALREADY added TWICE as much debt as Bush. And he's got a couple of years left.

Over twice the debt . . . what word is twice "unpatriotic?"

Trump won in 2016. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.
