Rules: A group of young men or even boys a young as age 12 chooses a lead attacker and then seeks out a victim. The lead attacker charges the victim and begins punching. If the victim goes down the group will usually scatter, if not then they join in. The victims are usually elderly and mostly alone. It is mainly occuring in MA, NJ, and Chicago. Been popular in UK for a while. Their version was slapping a random person on the street.

My guess is, this "phenomenon" is like any other the media hypes up. Not really as widespread as they make it out to be.
If i listened to the media, every kid in the 90s was abusing ritalin, Every kid in the 2000s was gay, and every kid in the 2010s is beating up old people.
