It's a Catholic school, so the teacher can hardly have been surprised. I guess he did this as a test case?

Griffin, who graduated from the school and has taught French and Spanish there for 12 years, said that his relationship with his partner of 12 years wasn’t a secret from the school and that his partner had even been to McCloskey’s house.

Sounds like the school tried pretty hard to bend the rules but the teacher just had to push the envelope.

Oh, well. I'm sure there are tons of schools in New Jersey that are lined up to hire gay teachers.

I could be way off, but I think it's common for Catholic institutions to overlook things like homosexuality in their staff, until it's so public they can no longer feign ignorance.

Yeah, they have their own version of "Don't ask, don't tell." Only in their case it's, "Don't ask, and don't embarrass us in public."

This apparently is not the first time someone has asked the Catholics to pretend to look the other way while propping their eyes open with toothpicks.  I'm pretty sure it will never turn out to be a good idea.

stay safe.
If cowardly and dishonorable men sometimes shoot unarmed men with army pistols or guns, the evil must be prevented by the penitentiary and gallows, and not by a general deprivation of a constitutional privilege.

Hey you kids!! Get off my lawn!!!

They keep making this eternal vigilance thing harder and harder.  Protecting the 2nd amendment is like playing PACMAN - there's no pause button so you can go to the bathroom.

Yeah, it is dang near like a Christian going to work at a Mosque or Jewish school wearing John 3:16 shirts all the time.
