It currently has a 0.41% chance of entering our planet’s atmosphere
So still more than your chance of dying from the kung flu.

We should be so lucky.

The Tube of You this morn recommended a volcano video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i77RemGvM7A) for me. The Youtube blurb is:
In case 2020 hasn't provided you with enough evidence that all human civilization could definitely be wiped out by one calamitous event, then here's a profile on a known supervolcano in Sumatra that has already annihilated the Earth as we know it once in human history.
As if "the China flu", with a death rate that's a bare statistical blip, is to be compared in any way at all to a supervolcano eruption (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toba_catastrophe_theory) that might have caused a human genetic bottleneck by dropping the human population at the time to a few thousands.
I guess a lot of people don't have enough drama in their lives, and have to gin it up.

Apparently the Tsunami never happened, though.
