Preacherman is OK
« on: September 25, 2005, 07:12:04 PM »
I was a little concerned about our chaplain in Louisiana this weekend.  He phoned a bit earlier saying he was OK and asked that I post on the boards saying so.  He has power restored but no cable/internet yet.  I am sure we will hear from him soon.
To the stars!

Yes, I'm baaack...  Rita knocked out my power for a couple of days, but apart from that, no major problems.

280plus, thank you!  Please see http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=154269 for donation info.  I'm grateful for your interest.

Stand by for more bad puns, etc. - Rita didn't dishearten me! cheesy

Thanx Preacher, I thought I'd seen something somewhere. It'll go out shortly (a day or so)

Well, there's small travel trailers, as mentioned in my post...  if you know anyone who is willing to donate one, we are truly desperate for these.  However, being big-ticket items, we've had no luck so far.

Apart from that, there are needs such as sleeping-bags, cots, etc.  However, these are hard to mail to us, and we're often better off buying supplies locally.  This is why cash helps - it's easily sent, whereas large boxes of stuff are harder to send, and waste money on postage too.

Sorry, but all I can send are puns.
