Ferguson = Hiroshima

So says Salon magazine:

Quote
The brutality of Hiroshima and Nagasaki echoes in Ferguson and Iraq today

I've been finding that Salon now does a better job at being The Onion than The Onion does.

At first glance, I thought the thread title was a suggestion . . .

There's a Salon parody account on Twitter. It's often hard to tell the parody account from the real one.

You know, nuclear isn't the best option for urban renewal. All that glowing and fallout makes it a less attractive option.

And no need for street paving.  The Trinitite will do.

Oh, and lawns.  No need for city regulations on lawn mowing any more.

Oh, oh, and the heat from the Trinitite will get rid of the snow in winter.

All in all, some positive factors there.

Nah, high enough HOB, clean enough bomb, and voila, urban renewal, just waiting for the rubble to be cleared.

Ferguson erupted overnight. Apparently two groups of protestors started shooting at each other, and one of them got himself lit up by the po po.

Estimated 50 rounds fired in the exchange. Given that they were probably shooting gangsta style, it's a miracle no bystanders were hit.

It's getting so a concerned citizen can't even engage in the time honored protest tradition of shooting in to an occupied police car without being hassled by the man.  What happened to our first amendment?

So does this bring closure to the "slow & heavy" vs "fast & light" debate?

stay safe.
If cowardly and dishonorable men sometimes shoot unarmed men with army pistols or guns, the evil must be prevented by the penitentiary and gallows, and not by a general deprivation of a constitutional privilege.

I'm no expert, but the hippie in video #2 above, seemed to be pigment impaired...

Bunch of amateurs, is what the problem is. Back when I lived in Philadelphia under Frank Rizzo's tenure as police Comish (before he became mayor), the natives blew up police cars with hand grenades.

What are the effects of patchouli oil on asphalt?  Will the spot where the hippie was body slammed develop a pothole?

Semi serious side note:

I'm almost convinced that the orginzers of these "Interstate shutdowns" are hoping that one of the protesters will be smeared by sumwhitedude.

Proof of racism.

That goes without saying.  Although the video of the guy pushing through the line of protestors in his SUV was amusing, I was just waiting for the 'squish' that would be heard around the world.
