The Paris Zoo has identified the primordial liberal archtype, no brain, 720 sexes.
Or, could this be the original source of the liberal plague infecting our world?

I think I will need a definition of the 720 sexes thing. 720 sexes would indicate it needs 720 sexes to multiply. I doubt that is true.
-
No brain and 720 sexes? I think it's what liberals are trying to evolve into.

What natural disaster will this thing be paired with for the SyFy special? Blob-quake? Blob-flood?
But this thing can't be a lefty. They said it heals itself. A true leftist would require a safe-space to heal.

It's a slime mold.
Slime molds are legitimately interesting, but poo science disgusts me.

The three things I remember from a "Mold Seminar" long ago was that everything under the normal forest litter you crunch through is mold, that if you cut a colony of some molds (slime molds?) in half, they will try to rejoin over quite a distance, and that there are "artillery molds," which are known to shoot their spores a considerable distance.
So they really are interesting, but over time, most of the lecture by the well-known moldologist (mycologist?) has been forgotten.
That's it, that's all I know.... Oh, wait ! Fig Newtons were named after a town in Massachussetts, not the scientist.
