'Ballot Allegiance' in Ohio!?
« on: March 31, 2010, 08:54:47 PM »
This is quite interesting - Link to Original Story

Quote
Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner has directed Ohio’s 88 county boards of election to challenge voters who switch between the two major political parties by requiring them to sign a form stating that they support their newly chosen political party’s principles. The oath only is required of voters switching between the Democratic and Republican parties.

Big brother is alive and well in Ohio.

Any of you folks have the same rules elswwhere?

Kind of scary.

Pathetic.  Guess Rush got 'em awfully riled up.

Why not let the parties decide whether their primaries are open?

A Google search for "secretary of state jennifer brunner party affiliation" comes up with this interesting story from 2008, during the Presidential primaries.  Apparently she was removing Republicans from election boards.

Not a big surprise considering the topical article, but interesting to see the same name linked to more electoral trickery.  Oh, and she's also running for Senator in Ohio.
