What the title says. What do you groove to on the way to work?
I'll go first:
Band:
The Zutons
Album:
Who Killed...The Zutons?
Upbeat Brit rock. The auditory equivalent of a Snickers bar, but what can I say, this album is fun!
-
Mancow on the way to work
-
Right now I'm listening to "Violin Concerto No. 1 in Am" by Shostakovich.
-
CD player? What are you some sort of old timer?
I haven't listened to a CD in ages ... right now I gots Grove Salad playing in iTunes
(now get back to work )
-
Big and Rich - Horse of a Different Color....
-
CD player has been replaced by a 40 Gig MP3 player. Right now Brad Paisly is playing but I have another 3500 songs to choose from.
-
The soundtrack to The Good, the Bad & the Ugly.
-
Keni Thomas, "Flags of our Fathers"
Mostly forgettable tunes, but the lyrics are awesome!
-
Right now it's "Careless Love", by Madeleine Peyroux.
James
-
mudvaynes 'lost and found'
-
Echo and the Bunnymen (the self-titled album). But I have The Clash (London Calling) and Psychedic Furs (Forever Now) sittin' on top ready to go.
What can I say, I'm trapped in the '80s new wave
-
Dire Straits, Alchemy
-
16 Horsepower - Folklore

At the moment, a Gentoo installation CD with SCSI drivers that don't want to cooperate. Gettin' ready to use it for target practice.
When I finally flip out and kill it, I'll pop in this Mozart's greatest hits CD. It's good stuff.
-
Wumpscut's "Music for a Slaughtering Tribe" Disk 1.
VNV Nation is releasing a CD soon. Futureperfekt was one of my favorite albums, I'm interested to see how this one turns out.
-
Nothing right now, but at most random moments it could be anything from the Victoria Police Pipes and Drums to Van Halen.
-
Kyuss - Blues for the Red Sun
-
Red Hot Chili Peppers!
Love, James
-
Bongo Fury by FZ.
-
i cant tell if ya'll are dorks or just old.....
-
My computer is set on random play (I doubt if I've used the actual CD player in a couple of years). Right now there is something by The Bloodhound Gang corrupting my kids (who are making excuses as to why they shouldn't be in bed ). Before that there was something from Great Big Sea & before that something from the Gin Blossoms.
(If I keep misspelling words & having to edit them I might even be able to tell you what comes up next )
-
+1 on Big and Rich, it's what's in my wife's CD player.
My Ranger doesn't have a CD player..it currently has Psycho Circus by KISS in the tap deck.

Currently, Fear Factory "Demanufacture" is in the Cd player in th car.
At home I have a 6 CD mix of The Cult.
-
Car changer on shuffle
N.W.A - Straight out of Compton - F--- the police has to be one of the finest bad mood songs ever.
Tori Amos - Under the pink
Pantera - Vulgar display of power
U2 - Zooropa
Beatles - White Album - Both Disks
Right this second, don't laugh, Sinatra at the Sands with the Count Basie Band. Led Zeppelin 2 waiting to go. Closet drummer here (absolutely rubbish it has to be said) so Moby dick is always good.
-
Right now I'm listening to my students' final projects from last semester's recording class plus an album that a couple of my students did outside of class.
-
Soundtrack to 'The Life Aquatic' . Very cool. I don't know many of the artists though. Some 'Iggy and the Stooges' I recognize. I really like the recordings of the guy with the solo acoustic playing slow, portuguese translations of David Bowie songs.
-
i cant tell if ya'll are dorks or just old.....
Could be both I still sometimes use cassette tapes.
Anyway the last CD is Sugarland, a new CW band from Atlanta.
-
Nightwish with the Wishmaster
-
i cant tell if ya'll are dorks or just old.....
I for one am a dork (and proud of it).
-
Well you can either be a dork and listen to the old stuff or be a cheeseball and listen to mudvayne. Me...I'm neither.
-
(now get back to work wink )
Gosh. Freakin' slave driver.
-
Nightwish with the Wishmaster
Awesome! Nightwish rocks.
-
mmmmmmmmmmmmm, cheeseballs.........
guess i shoulda eaten breakfast.
so billblank, whats it like to be rolling along thumping with Eazy E slangin' lyrics like 'yo i'm the dopeman yeah boy wear
courdoroy money up to here but unemployed', and then a few seconds later have tori crooning stuff like "Hangin with the raisin girls She's gone to the other side Givin us a yo heave ho Things are getting kind of gross And I go at sleepy time"?
-
Pretty damn good actually I note that you, nearly, know the lyrics off the top of your head.
Other good combo's are the ubiquitous Handel and his water music with a dash of Bodycount, fleetwood mac - rumours, Nirvana - Bleach, KD lang - Ingenue, Guns and Roses - A.f.D and Bob Marley - legend.
As an aside, that bob marley Cd is one of the nicest to listen to that I own. It flatters every system I play it on, massive detail and crisp, precise soundstage.
-
yeah well thank lyricsondemand for the tori stuff. UTP is one of two of tori's albums i dont have (yet).
and i did go through my hiphop phase right when NWA came out with SOC.
-
Rosanne Cash, "Rules of Travel"
Kaki King, "Everybody Loves You"
Israel Kamikawiwo'ole, "E Ala E"
-
BillBlank and Mr. Spiff- I'm pretty much the same way. In my little tabletop CD changer today I had:
Rammstein's "Reise, Reise"
Gwen Stefani's "Love, Angel, Music, Baby"
Chingon's "Mexican Spaghetti Western"
-
Steely Dan
-
A compilation disc I burned by Chris Wall. He is a great singer/songwriter now out of Texas. From Wyoming originally I think.
