Made it its own thread, since it's about news manipulation as much as anything.
Trump made a speech talking about China building electric car factories in Mexico to undercut US automakers. He said that if he's not elected, it would be a bloodbath for the auto industry. EVERY legacy media and lefty wacko website is running with, "If I'm not elected, there will be a bloodbath", insinuating bloody insurrection.
The video in context makes it perfectly clear to anyone with more than a double digit IQ what he actually said and meant.

The only people who are dumb enough to believe it are the people who hate him anyway and would never vote for him. Thus this is just a typical MSM circlejerk to keep the blood pressure of their base up. Why we don’t have Democrats having widespread aneurysms I will never know with the way they are so easily triggered into frothing fits.

This image would have been apropos AT LEAST as far back as the Reagan administration. I remember a televised speech Reagan gave - maybe a SOTU, I'm not certain - and immediately afterwards the media recapped it. I was visiting my parents and as the commentary went on, we looked at each other in puzzlement - we'd watched the speech in its entirety and - Reagan said NONE of what the media claimed he had said!
Total fabrication, decades ago.

Same thing was noticed during the first Gulf War. Gen. Schwarzkopf was doing those daily press briefings which were televised. I remember people commenting about hearing the media report later and say something completely different.
