A bailout plan I can live with:
« on: April 01, 2009, 02:53:46 PM »
Dear Mr. President,

Patriotic retirement:

There's about 40 million people over 50 in the work force; pay them $1 million apiece severance with three stipulations:

1) They leave their jobs. Forty million job openings - Unemployment fixed.

2) They buy NEW American cars. Forty million cars ordered - Auto Industry fixed.

3) They either buy a house or pay off their mortgage- Housing Crisis fixed.

All National financial problems fixed!!!

At least it wasn't a furry.
There are five things, above all else, that make life worth living: a good relationship with God, a good woman, good health, good friends, and a good cigar.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

I'd pick up that hitchhiker.... ;) :P

And "Trillian" would be?

A character from the late Douglas Adams' book "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". That image is a photo of the actress playing her part in the recent movie.  =)

That "bailout" plan sounds great if you're in your fifties and still working.  Not so good if you're young and anticipate paying taxes for the next few decades.
