Title: Liberal world order ≠ new world order
Post by: Perd Hapley on July 03, 2022, 04:12:16 PM
If you're not yet aware of the controversy over a White House lackey claiming high gas prices are necessary to preserving "the liberal world order," this should help you get caught up:

https://ussanews.com/2022/07/01/biden-administration-confirms-goal-is-liberal-world-order/

It seems like a lot of people are taking this as an admission that Vichy - I mean, the so-called Biden administration - have intentionally raised gas prices, to bring in the new world order. Though it should be obvious the cranks currently in charge want your gas to be more expensive, Brian Deese wasn't talking about that. He was just sticking to the usual BidenCo talking point, blaming Putin for high prices. "Liberal world order" is foreign policy talk about preventing war. "Liberal" in the old-fashioned sense of human rights, civil liberties, and all that classical-liberal stuff.

If you think he was talking about left-wing "liberalism" or a new world order, then that probably means you're a normal American, and don't read foreign policy white papers. And, hey, neither do I, but "liberal world order," or "liberal international order," are terms that crop up here and there. I guess there are different ways to define it, but this guy puts it pretty simply:
Quote
“Democracy just say Democracy, we are helping defend a Democratic country,” tweeted Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.). “Stop talking to Americans as if they read Foreign Policy magazine.”

Thanks. I was unaware of the history of the term.

I'd heard the term bandied about, figured it was codespeak for something I wouldn't like.

Until this very moment, I had not heard of the liberal world order. Thanks for the interesting reading at the links.

Hello there, fellow nationalists! I'm not a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. You believe me, right?

Right?

One would think that they would have had electric vehicles available at a "low end user demand" type of item, rather than just as a "luxury status symbol" type of item.

Right now most of the proponents are the folks who think that since they can ride a skateboard three blocks to work that everyone can do that sort of thing.
