Hawkmoon - Never underestimate another person's capacity for stupidity. Any time you think someone can't possibly be that dumb ... they'll prove you wrong.
Viking - The problem with the modern world is that there aren't really any predators eating stupid people.
Dammit Andy - you beat me to it!I am so glad to see that the US hooligan population is finally doing something constructive though.
I'm not sure what the problem is here.
http://www.ktvu.com/news/news/crime-law/vandals-target-smart-cars-san-francisco/nfTJb/Early Monday morning vandals clad in black hooded sweatshirts flipped 3 Smart cars in a 30 minute period and within 10 blocks of each other. The news is calling it car tipping. This just gives me another reason not to by a Smart Car.
I don't see a problem either. Hey if you want to drive a coffin on 4 wheels go right ahead.
dang, i thought they had a half ton of batteries in them.
The institute noted that the front-end test scores can’t be compared across weight classes, meaning a small car that earns a good rating isn’t considered safer than a large car that did not earn the highest rating.
Or with my 4000lb F150 at any speed.
I have no problem with someone driving a smart car. Quite a bit safer in a collision than a motorcycle.
Key point from the NBC article:While they may do okay in low speed urban driving (where admittedly, last I saw National Safety Council says most accidents occur), I see quite a few of those things on the freeway around here because nobody wants to sit through city traffic lights taking an extra half hour to get to work. I'm guessing they don't fair to well in a 70MPH crash.
Top Gear did just that:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iKGfo1wmOM
