Hell, keep a guy with the Hilux and let him man the gun while it's slung.

I know there's been talk and some studies, but I don't think they've done anything concrete about arming the V22's yet.

Just be clear up front, there'll be no Dr. Jones Sr. style "Sorry son... they got us..." excuses accepted.  =D
I promise not to duck.

If you sling crap under a V-22, it's stuck in helicopter mode, right?

Then you're wasting the real benefit of the airframe, which is giddyup airplane mode.

According to Wikipedia, the plan was to put a GAU-19 under the nose. They tried it in Afghanistan but it apparently wasn't worth it, since it was heavy as hell and rarely used.

They do mount an M240 or a Ma Deuce on the back loading ramp, though.

WANT. I assume that's one of a kind, though. (If it's not 'shopped.)

Fan-built Warthog, from the Halo game series.

The mounted gun should be be a bigger tri-barrel, though.

From what I read, there's one (whether this one or another) made for Microsoft/Bungie.

I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

The one in the article you linked does not have 4 wheel steering.

The pic I attached shows 4 wheel steering.  So evidently there are at least two.

This too.  Internally transported payload means it can transition and travel much higher and faster.

Smile.  Wait for the flash.

It's missing a video camera.  Maybe a video camera on a high mast?

I just have this picture in my head of the grand charge against the enemy, seeing them fire off a bunch of missiles, then seeing a bunch of crazy smoke trails like they were using cheap bottle rockets.
