An interesting bit of music.
« on: May 05, 2018, 12:35:11 PM »
Orchestral theme from "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly."

Composer: Ennio Morricone
Danish National Orchestra

"One of the most iconic film scores in film history."

Quite interesting to wa-wa-watch.

That was excellent.  Thanks for posting that, Terry.

Ennio Morricone is as big as, if not bigger than, John Williams in film orchestration industry. Some incredibly haunting music.

He'd likely be far better known were he willing to work/live in Hollywood and were he willing to learn English.

This piece, Gabriel's Oboe, is from a movie call The Mission with Jeremy Irons and Robert de Niro.

I've heard it dozens of times over the years, and every time I do I still get chills. It just resonates so directly with me for some reason.

Look closer.  Revolver on her right side, feather on her left.

OK, so earring.  Wonder what the symbology of the feather is.

Tuva Semmingsen, I think.  She's active on the net, Facebook, etc., but mostly not in English, I guess.  I only dug around a little to get her name.

The same music, performed by ... The Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain. They actually do a decent job of it ... for ukeleles. Nonetheless, it just ain't right.

Just a western theme, I imagine.  Revolver for the cowboys, feather for the indians.

^ Delightful.  Especially after having seen the orchestral video.

I was wondering if I could clip (considering copyrights, etc. in the orchestral version) the three main wah-wah-wahs and put it up as an answer every time I see a snowflake whiney post.  >:D

You know, like the Orson Welles applause clip/GIF.

Probably picks up tips there.  Like a street musician. And it's inside out of the rain.  And quieter, for the recording.  And he needed a haircut anyhow.
