However, Gabby Sidibe maintains that she still believes Smollett’s version of events, despite growing evidence to the contrary.

“I know him, I believe him, I stand with him. #jussiesmollett,” Sidibe wrote on Instagram, accompanied by a quote from the black nationalist Malcolm X on the oppression of black people.

Reportedly, Smollett pulled these stunts because he was unhappy with his salary.

He earned $65,000 per episode. There are 18 episodes per season. That's $1,170,000 per year. There are MANY families in the United States who get by on an income per year that's less than what this clown brings in per episode. He's beyond disgusting and beneath contempt.

I cannot but laugh when one of our culture's dancing monkeys end up flinging poo at itself.
I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do.

Can I steal that for use elsewhere?

Saw this on twitter.

Last night as I was walking to Quiznos I was attacked by Jussie Smollett and two of his friends while they screamed, "This is Hope & Change country!"

Spin Spin Spin

Quote
Stafford then suggested that the Chicago Police Department leaked information to make Smollett look bad because they support Trump, conveniently ignoring the fact that it was Smollett who called the police in the first place to report what officers are now saying was a staged attack.
Quote
Yet, Stafford suggested that the Chicago Police Department knew Smollett was lying and called “it a racist and homophobic attack” on “day one” to “use it against” Smollett at the end of the investigation.

“Personally, it was incredibly shocking on day one to see the police department call it a racist and homophobic attack. Their first statement—they exclusively said that, said they’re investigating it as a victim case,” Stafford said on MSNBC. “As someone that has been investigating these for years in Chicago, that was really unprecedented before… And a lot of the time people in the background were worried they were leaning into this victim part of the story because they didn’t believe him and they wanted to use it against him at the end when they were able to prove that he was lying.”

On the CBS evening news just now, they reported that Mr. Smollett recently received a raise to $ 180,000 per episode, or $ 1.8 million per season.

The Daily Mail says it's $100,000 per episode, for an annual haul of $1.8 million. That math works ... yours would come out to $3.24 million per season.

After police Superintendent Eddie Johnson's press conference on Thursday, I find myself wondering if the fix is in. Johnson didn't use any "alleged" qualifiers in his remarks. Cue the defense to argue for dismissal on the basis of prejudicial remarks making it impossible to get a fair trial.

Of course. Cops everywhere are Trump-loving, gay-hating, white supremacists. Even the black police superintendent in Chicago, of course.

In case my reference is too obscure for non Star Trek fans
The guy (Scorpio) getting the crap beat out of him is played by Andrew J. Robinson who also played Garak on Star Trek:DS9

The idiot Friends were pulling down a million an episode ten years ago.

It's 15 years ago. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Last_One_(Friends)

And not only was it one of (if not the) most popular television shows, it also was part of the last days of broadcast TV as the almost sole source of entertainment for the country.

Today is a much different situation. For example, I had never even heard of the show, let alone this guy before the hoax he orchestrated. I don't watch TV, but I do know the names of most of the popular programs.

As an example, Friends finale pulled in 52.5 Million viewers, 15 years ago. They averaged 22 Million viewers that season. Big Bang Theory's current season average: 12 Million viewers. 15 years later and the most popular TV show is pulling in 10 million fewer viewers.

What's that got to do with Smollett? Nothing, I just thought it was interesting. And since I went down this rabbit hole, I took all of you with me.
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

And here's his "Get out of jail free" card: "I have a drug problem."

I'm pretty sure that after all that's gone on,  the "addict card" won't help.

Should've used the Spacey gambit,  the tried and true "BUT I'M GAY"..... Wait, that won't work here.  >:D
