Did the guy in the boat offer any resistance, or did the PD just open up on the boat thinking it looked like Dorner's getaway car.........

As I recall from the intial reports, the residents stated that moments after the homeowner called 911 and cops showed up, there was a hail of gunfire.  (~30 shots)

None of those holes look like they came from inside the boat.

Mr. Henneberry  who lives with his wife Elizabeth fled back to his house and called 911, when police arrived Dzhokhar began to exchanged gunfire with police while holed up in a boat, he was taken into custody, in an ambulance to treat him for serious injuries, however none were specified.

The pictures of the boat seem to indicate otherwise.

Of course, I always believe the story that the police tell

The grammar in that sentence is so contorted that it is hard to tell what they are trying to say.  Why were the police holed up in the boat?   ;/

No part of that rambling Facebook post is a statement from the boat owner about we're discussing here. Why did you post it?

This statement is from a guy called Todd Michael Hall.

Which is not, apparently, the boat owner's name.

I don't do SpaceBook.  :P

My recollection is of the owner's statement reported on Friday night or Saturday morning, which was that there were immediately about 30 shots fired after cops arrived.  At that time nobody knew who was shooting at who since I don't think the owner was standing out there watching  ;/

Somebody obviously shot a bunch of holes into the boat at random locations on the port topsides.

Joker Sarnov would have had to lifted the tarp and shot over the gunwale if in fact he did shoot.  Even in that case, the cops' aim was pretty damn wild.

I followed your link and read absolutely nothing about the details of apprehending the guy in the boat.

Just somebody's ramblings about panic attacks and hiding in their house with a butcher knife.  But I would have been pretty damn nervous too with all those guys with automatic weapons walking around.   ;)

Except it wasn't martial law.  You might want to read up on what martial law really is.

No snark?

No retraction?

Would've been funny if the guy hiding in the boat was some homeless fellow

Oh BTW, what hard evidence do they have that it was the Bomber Brothers who actually shot the MIT cop  ???

The hold-up turned out to be non-related.

The Brothers Tsarnaev were inititially reported to have robbed a 7-11 (or something) but later it was reported that was somebody else.

I don't know if that's intelligent of the criminals or monumentally stupid.

They could have figured the police were busy so it's the best time to rob the store.

My bet is that they had no idea what the police were doing and just wanted to rob a store, having no idea of the increased police presence.

(I assume they haven't caught those criminals, though? I haven't seen a report one way or another.)
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

I assumed that it was just another Thursday evening in Progressive Paradise

And I'm still waiting to hear the hard evidence linking the bombers to the cop that was killed.  Not saying they didn't do it, and they probably did, but I wonder if that is just another police presumption  =|

I heard about the robbery, never heard that it wasn't them. Does make me wonder about the cop shooting too.
