If I recall correctly, this is by no means the only "global warming" event that has been afflicted by freakishly cold weather.

Perhaps someone is trying to tell us something?   shocked  grin

Rush Limbaugh had a good laugh some time ago, when Gore was giving a speech on global warming.  Wherever he was, they were experiencing record cold temperatures.

I just heard on the radio that local Maryville University was going to show An Inconvenient Truth yesterday, but it was called off due to freezing rain and snow.  And the hits just keep on comin.   laugh

It's near the bottom of the list for 13 Feb.  Everything else was called off yesterday, so I don't doubt it.

In the local paper here, a Purdue professor had an article about how the UN report released February 1st proved that Global Warming was here to stay and we would all swelter to death like a greenhouse in Southern Arizona.  The day the Purdue professor's article was published (to increase his funding so he could afford an SUV and a powerboat) it snowed 4 inches and the high was 8 degrees above zero.

I realize these events don't prove anything, they are just funny.  But, if we were seeing warm spells during these same events, the AGW people would be gloating about it to be sure.

Well said.  Actually, even cold spells and hurricanes are claimed as evidence for global warming.
