Title: Guns at Christmas

Well, those ping pong ball shooting "burp guns" from Hammacher & Schlemer were a huge success among the nephews (4, all 7 and under, niece is too young at 7 months).  After BGFF (Burp Gun Famililarization Firing) at an improving range (shooting at shopping bag filled with bubble wrap) in grandma's sewing room it was off to conduct Suburban Rifle Training by chasing each other up and down the stairs and learning to clear the clothing hamper where your 5 year old nephew can actually fit into and then pop up to shoot at you.

Ping Pong "Burp Guns"* are highly recommended and should be given the APS seal of approval.


*does not include extra ping pong balls that you need to buy or Uncle Kirk who is actually nuts enough to play with the kids

Given some time I suspect they'll find or create some evil way to use them not ever even DREAMED of by the manufacturer...

grampster, sure, but stretch out, it can get intense.  Bring your own burp gun and a big bag of ping pong balls.

280, oh, I'm certain they will.  My brother called this morning.  The boys liked their ping pong guns so much, they slept with them last night.

280, not unusal as my brother has them all in one bedroom for now ("the bunkhouse") because of the new niece and his office re-model.  The only personal space is their "footlockers" (plastic container from Wal-Mart) and their beds.  If they really like something they put it in their beds.

#2 nephew sleeps with my brother's old copies of The American Rifleman[I/].

I misread, I thought you only had 2 nephews 4 and 7 yo. NOW I see you have 4 nephews all under 7. All in the same bedroom and they ALL got ping pong guns? That musta been quite the ruckus!

Ummm, let's see it's at the Hammacher & Schlemmer website thingy and type in "Ping pong burp gun".  Should get you there.

That bar at the top where you type in addresses you know and don't have to search for? That one. Assuming you're right handed, and using Internet Explorer, click on it with your left mouse button.

See that little menu popup? Move your mouse until it highlights the word "Copy."

Now put the curser down in the dialogue box.  Click on the left button again. Hit paste!

Tah-Dah!

Highlight the address in the address bar by left clicking on it. Then go up and click on "edit" upper left corner. On the drop down click on "copy". Then click on the post page to put the cursor there. Once you have the blinking cursor in your post page go up to "edit" again click on it and this time click on paste. The line should appear in your post page and when you submit the post it is recognized as a link and automatically becomes one.

Don't worry. "copy and paste" was a tough one for me too.

You can do that with any text. Highlight what you want. Click copy. Put the cursor where you want to move the line to and click paste. All done.

Duh,,,forgot a part...

Once you have "copied" the link or text you can change screens as long as you don't close the whole window. So you would copy text or a link, then find your way over to APS (for example) in the same window, go to the post or edit pages, place your cursor there in the proper area and click "paste".

Whatever you copy stays in there and can be pasted repeatedly to various places until you either copy something else or close the whole window.
