Incredible guitarist
« on: August 28, 2007, 05:49:05 PM »
I found this guy on Lawdog's blog.

Here's a link to the rest of his music.  I bought the mp3s for The Art of Motion.  It's fantastic.

heh, cool, there's a few out there that play like that. In a sense he's playing it like a piano doing the bass with his left hand and the treble with his right. I'm trying to think of the name of the other guy (more famous) that does this. I want to say Stanley Jordan but don't quote me till I check...

Dang I'm good...  grin

Sunday it felt a little better, but it was quite irritated from me rubbing it.

He's good.

I see Andy McKee has the same harp guitar that the late Michael Hedges did so well with:

Michael's:

Which also explains Andy's use of harmonics.

I also wager that Andy studied the gifted Tommy Emmanuel, judging from his use of harmonics and the guitar body for percussion.

Pretty, real pretty, but can they play?  grin

Tell me this version of this doesn't kick the crap outta anytime SRV did it. I stumbled across it in my travels:

FYI he's playing with his thumb

He's playing a Flying Vee but I'm not sure it's a Gibson. I assume it is. Neat tone.

Yup, Gibson Flying Vee. *drooool*

I love Albert King's playing, but I'd have to disagree.

More FYI - King is also playing upside down.  smiley

You know, now that you mention it, you're right, he IS playing upside down.

I'm not saying his guitar playing is any better than SRV's but I think his voice is a lot better, therefore I like his version better.  grin
