The internal email list and the Tennessean (and if you can't believe the Tennessean, for gosh sakes whom can you believe??) report that Fred will announce his candidacy on Thurs 9/7.
I hope this isn't a Wes Clark moment.

Just hope he doesn't self-destruct... Seems intelligent enough to pick good advisors. I hope they aren't picked for him by the party at large, but then again, they've been too busy with the rest of the candidates...

Seems to me that Fred Thompson is the only candidate from either party who has made his views on RKBA issues perfectly clear. Who else in the lineup has suggested that permit holders be allowed to carry on campuses?

I just hope that Thompson doesn't disappoint me on other issues.
