"Journalist" ==> PWNED!
« on: July 20, 2011, 06:09:04 PM »
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2011/07/20/msnbc_to_gop_congressman_do_you_have_a_degree_in_economics.html

Looks like a news bimbo thought she was going to get smart and trap a congressman because he didn't agree with her. So she violated the trial attorney's prime directive, and asked him a question SHE didn't know the answer to.

Hee hee.

Contessa Brewer was on a Milwaukee station years back, and Mo Brooks is my congressman, so that was especially satisfying. Thank you.

She's always had an inflated opinion of herself. And Mo Brooks just happened to have a pin.

That was awesome.  For a split second there, she totally vapor-locked.  You could see in her expression she just didn't quite know what to say there, and so went to the "so you disagree with the Fed Chairman..." angle.  Which really didn't exactly gain her a lot of traction....

If only the MSM would hector Democrats, statists and liberals like they do R's and conservatives.  Wait....that means they'd be unbiased news people...reporting facts...sorry I lost touch with reality for a minute.... :facepalm:

So wait. I don't understand..

She's supposed to be a journalist interviewing someone. He's not allowed answer her questions or disagree with her unless he has a degree in economics? Does he have to have a degree in every potential subject he's interviewed about? What about Contessa? Does she need a degree in everything she speaks about?

What a self important credentialist dolt. Going after somebody's credentials is like the laziest ad hominem counter argument. Don't forget to tease her about that everybody  [popcorn]

nigmalg, if you like Contessa Brewer asking about Congressman Brooks credentials, you should have been at one of the WI state senate committee hearings when Massad Ayoob was testifying. When he finished, a state senator from Milwaukee (Lena Taylor) asked about his credentials as an expert in firearms, shootings and such. She got an encyclopedia. :)

When your parents name you "Contessa"...

When I'm at work I'll flip over to it on occasion. The principle of "know thine enemy" and all that jazz. One day I caught a really good one, they were attacking Governor Perry for supporting state's rights and invented a new derogatory in the process: Tenther. (Birther, truther, tenther. Rather unimaginative lot, no?)

Ah, yes. The ever-popular conspiracy theory that posits a mysterious "Tenth Amendment" to the Constitution. Some people will believe anything.
