I follow Carr on Instagram.  He posted the ratings from Rotten Tomatoes, showing critics rating the show 38% good, while people watching the show rated it 94% good.  His response "We didn't make Terminal List for film critics.  We made it for those in the arena."

I thought it was OK. I may have had a higher opinion had I not read the book first, as with most projects, the book is usually better. The series had a ton of deviations from the book.

Overall, still entertaining.

Oh yeah, my biggest complaint about the series so far is that they hired the same freakin' cinematographer who filmed the final episode of Game of Thrones. The night scenes are so incredibly dark that I had to go in and manually adjust my TV settings to not be looking at a pitch black screen.

I don't know what this "let's make night scenes too dark for viewers to see" stuff that has been happening the last few years is, but I don't like it. Turn off the artsy fartsy and turn on the damn lights.

that was the final nail in the coffin for Walking Dead for me, I would tune in and see ... nothing ... if they ever come out with the movie, i might see it for old times sake

Ha ha - an enjoyable side benefit for me, almost like an "out takes DVD extra", is reading the hand wringing reviews by critics from their fainting couches. This is a good one:

https://www.vulture.com/article/the-terminal-list-taylor-kitsch-only-recap.html

She's upset because in a flashback, where he's buying a house, Reese talks to his wife about which will be the gun room. This upsets the critic greatly. When I was buying this house, I was scoping out where the guns would go only to find out that the previous owner put in a "gun closet" when he built the home. Welcome to America, comrades at Vulture.

When my wife and I were looking at houses we saw one with a concealed gun room.  There was a walk in closet with a fake back wall that lead to a room with rifle racks.  Very cool.

I'll take it!

We ended up buying a house a couple miles from that one.  No hidden gun room, but lots more land.

About 15 years ago, a buddy started work on his house - digging for the basement, etc... Then he fell in love...

Well, you can guess how that worked out.

He recently sent me pictures of the poured concrete basement, including a seriously rebar-caged very large safe room.

I never even heard of the book, but I finally got amazon prime - no tv but I watch things on my laptop.
"The Boys" has a better soundtrack but way to anti american preachy nonsense.
Terminal list was pretty good, I hope they make more with this character - my only criticism is the child dying, i skipped the parts where that is reviewed/talked about , I can't watch that sort of stuff

I've tried several times to watch it. Turn off the lights so I can see it, make me a whiskey to enjoy and then fall asleep.

I watched the first episode.  Trying to work up the desire to watch another.  Not having a lot of luck so far.

I binged the whole series a couple weeks ago.  It was decent for what it was.  A lot required substantial suspension of disbelief.
