MTVs Resolutions for "White Guys"
« on: December 19, 2016, 06:52:37 PM »
I have not watched MTV in 30 years, so only ran across this because of Twtichy. It looks like I haven't missed anything in 30 years.

To the people in the video: SHUT THE *expletive deleted*ck UP. Every one of you is pretentiously obnoxious.

"Judges, don't prioritize an Ivy League athlete over the woman he assaulted."  So we should do this even though the woman is lying?  Which is the case in the media hyped cases.  I guess that was for you Chris.

Black Lives Matter?  Why should we care if they don't?

I guess is the lefty liberal's collection of politically correct complaints about white guys.  It was targeted at white guys who know nothing about any of the things they brought up.

Remember, it isn't racist since it only targets white people.   =D

I'm glad someone is still shocked by that, but it's become the new normal. It used to be "dead white male bashing." Now, live white male bashing is a thing, and a very fine way to virtue signal.

I have not watched MTV in 30 years.

If that was when they stopped playing music videos, I'm right there with you.

If I was a White guy, I'd be so sick of everyone nagging me like that.

There were a few comment videos that were pretty funny because they were made by black guys who apparently caught that this was no different than lumping "black guys" together via race and gender. Pretty insightful commentary on the "actors" as "first world problem" children.

Yeah, they (the left) keeps poking the bear.  It's creating a huge backlash.  And if they keep it up, and Trump does anywhere near what he said, he'll win in a landslide in 2020.   And as has been pointed out, America is the most tolerant country (along with the UK) in the world.   Have we always been?  Sadly, no.  However, we have worked hard to overcome that dark past (partially paid for in blood to end it.)

The Socialist Workers Party USA and the Communist Party USA both endorsed Hillary Clinton and no-one bats an eye.  200 Whackjobs rent a Hotel conference room in DC after the election and scream "Heil Trump", and everyone loses their mind.  As I pointed out on FB, that same weekend, 7200 grown ass men, dressed up asMy Little Pony "Bronies" in hotel conference rooms across the street, and that didn't bother anyone?

Have we always been?  Sadly, no.

So long as we are excluding the UK, we most certainly HAVE been the most inclusive country. Compare the U.S., circa 1850 to ANY other country at the same time (excluding the UK.)

Compare the U.S., 1950 to ANY other country at the same time.

Too many people want to scream about how horrible and barbaric the U.S. was... and it's about as useful as comparing the present to the Utopia in their minds.
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Wasn't this a reference to the California case, the Stanford swimmer found raping the unconscious woman by a dumpster?  He was sentenced to six months, got released after about 90 days?

Didn't need the reminder.  I've ruined the college prospects of a few athletes for similar criminal behavior.  Wouldn't lose sleep over doing so again...

Oh, and as a white guy, I'm offended by all of this hate speech directed towards me.  Can someone find me a safe space?

Sure are a lot of triggers in that room for it to be a safe place
For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

This. And one of those liquor table things.

In case you are not aware, MTV has been posting/airing these types of things for a very long time now. Apparently they removed and reposted this video on facebook because the comment section was basically tearing the video apart, and after they tried to clear out all the comments it only caused said tearing apart to double.

I don't care about the reference.  There are some schools with real problems like Baylor.  I know there are some universities that protect their athletes, but to make a general accusation is idiotic.

Anyway, the issue is not the Judges.  It is the cases that never get to the judge that are usually the problem.

We have always been more inclusive than you - but that is largely because over here it has always been about money and class (in that order) rather than race, especially in Britain itself.  I don't know if that many of you will have seen it, but the film Belle captures this phenomenon expertly.

In the colonies of course the racial issue only usually came about after the people who took control off the people who actually won the territories (ie: like the post-Rebellion rulers of India, who took over the control of the continent from the EIC) had to justify their superiority.  As it was obvious they weren't actually superior to anyone, independence usually followed within about fifty to a hundred years.
