Defunding the police creates more problems than it solves. SURPRISE!

My town is only slightly smaller by population and we also have no more than 5 officers on duty at any given time. So the "quality of life" aka nuisance calls also are low priority. But isnt that true just about anywhere?
We've not had any defund the po-po movement here, though.

Easy to predict for anyone who lives in reality.

St. Louis is living it every day. Largely self-protecting. The cops show up for the reports.

I've made more than a few light bulbs light up by asking
When do the police usually show up, before, during, or after a murder?

It WAS predicted, long and loud and frequently.
Those behind the Defund movement (and many in the press) effectively closed their eyes, plugged their ears, and began singing "La la la la I can't hear you."

We have folks active in the movements, usually suburbanites with hot topic hair, who think that black people need their protection, while at the same time assuming that black people are all criminals.
