People forget that water doesn't move out of the way that quickly.

It's "only" 30 mph from 60-ish feet, but it's 30 mph to nearly zero in a very short time when the body hits the water.

According to the article, despite posted warnings, quite a few people have got hurt in that adventure.  Maybe they should rename it "Darwin's Bridge."

Man....   It seems like every story of stupidity lately is coming out of the PNW.   Saw an interview with the pushee on the news last night.  she's got 5 broken ribs, some subcutaneous free air in her chest (points to a possibly perforated lung)...  She really is lucky to have survived the fall.  Apparently the pusher is cooperating with the investigation, the county prosecutor hasn't decided if they're going to press charges or not.
