I'd cut out a 3 x 1" piece of an aluminum soda can and staple it somewhere unobtrusive, yet have it "smack" against the barrels.  Paint it black as well, and you've got an inexpensive noisemaker that isn't too loud that'll make all the noise the kid needs when his mouth gets tired of machine gun noises. Cheesy

That would be the ultimate if it were under a covered pickup back with a pair of clamshell doors that swing open and the mini-gun comes rising up through while driving complete with a recorded bullhorn announcement - "attention, attention, your vehicle is in restricted space! Slow down, or pass immediately or we will take defensive action!"

Maybe the dad should use an old riding lawnmower and make him a mini assault vehicle to mount that thing on.  He could use the mower drive to power the gun.  Armored plating could be fitted to protect him from people who are stupid enough to shoot at someone they think is armed with a Vulcan.

I've seen some officers that had NO clue about guns. Haven't yet seen one that would believe that "junior over thar has hisself a gatlin'"...
