I must be in the "worst" of WA, or some one thinks. I believe they got that completely bass ackwards.

The worst part of WA by far is west of the Cascades, except for where the land runs out and it becomes glorious water, filled with fish to catch and eat.

Seems about right.

32. New York

Best: Anytime you want something, you can go out and buy it. Things are done fast in almost every aspect.

Worst: You develop a growing hatred for the human race. When i meet someone new, I already hate them a tiny bit because they are another human being.

Best thing about I-95, I-64, and I-81 lead out of the state.

Worst thing about Virginia is that too many folks think I-95, I-64, and I-81 lead into the state.  That and the General Assembly rapes the rest of the state in road taxes to fix the roads in Northern Virginia instead of building a wall and minefield around the place.

stay safe.
If cowardly and dishonorable men sometimes shoot unarmed men with army pistols or guns, the evil must be prevented by the penitentiary and gallows, and not by a general deprivation of a constitutional privilege.

Best: Chicago is the single best thing about the state.

It's also the single worst thing about the state.

One good thing that occured to me during 2014's visit to New Hamster was that the regional dominant megapolis, Boston, was  in a different state.

I don't get it. Did they only interview imbeciles and progressives?

Michigan has good sports teams?  Whoever answered that one has never set foot in Michigan...except maybe for the Red Wings.

In Vermont, the good things are
1. Maple Syrup
2. You're 60 minutes away from New Hampshire
3. Weed?
4. Hippie Chicks??

Worst thing: Summer only lasts one month

Worst thing: Columbia and the politicians therein

Louisiana

Best: The state has a generally laid-back attitude, as evidenced by own unofficial motto Laissez les bons temps rouler or "Let the good times roll."
Worst: High crime rates and STD rates (Baton Rouge is #1 for HIV per capita in the US).
I might not last very long or be very effective but I'll be a real pain in the ass for a minute!

They asked one person from each state? Lame. Not really thread-worthy.

5. California

Best: Population is more fit than any other state I've been to besides Colorado, a lot of talented artists
Worst: Low air quality, Arnold Schwarzenegger was elected governor at one point

The worst is an example of just how good the medical MJ is.  I could fill up a page, easy, with the worst of California.  Along with some better "Best" than a lot of talented artists.   =D

43. Texas

Best: No income tax, lots of land which means nice wide streets and big houses
Worst: We only have two seasons with two week transition periods in between (summer, which is hot as hell, and winter)
What is it with yankees bitching about seasons?  I sometimes wonder if this is the only state they come to where they complain about that.

the people are just so *expletive deleted*ing nice.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. 16. Kansas

Best: One of the marquee BBQ styles comes from here.
Worst: The crazies. I don't know what it is, but Kansas gets all kinds of crazies. Whether religious, political (on both sides of the spectrum), or just old fashioned 'kill dudes' crazy, Kansas gets 'em.

25. Missouri

Best: Lax liquor laws, cheap cigarettes, low cost of living, low taxes.
Worst: Clueless politicians, extreme poverty in both very urban and very rural areas, highest bankruptcy rate in the nation.

36. Oklahoma

Best: The people are incomparable. After our huge tornado, I can't tell you how many people selflessly went to help with no regards for themselves. Every day life is so much better because the people are just so *expletive deleted*ing nice.
Worst: Rednecks, not much to do in the way of entertainment, and *expletive deleted*ing SPIDERS.

About right for each one.
There are five things, above all else, that make life worth living: a good relationship with God, a good woman, good health, good friends, and a good cigar.

From the 2nd page:

40. South Carolina

Best: Good ol' Southern cooking
Worst: Racists, horrible grammar

35. Ohio

Best: Ohio has a little bit of everything and everyone.
Worst: Ohio has a little bit of everything and everyone.

WTF is that?

38. Pennsylvania

Best: Big cities (Philly, Pittsburgh) with a lot of culture, interesting people, good food etc.
Worst: Small minded people, violent people, pollution.

Pittsburgh is surprisingly nice. Philly is not unless you stick to very very specific areas. Uh, we don't have a pollution problem. That'd be New Jersey. I wasn't aware we had violent people any higher than normal. Small minded people? About the same as anywhere else.

Sounds like list was made by someone who didn't know much about the states in question.

Are they talking about "Kansas City style" barbecue? I just assumed that name came from KC, MO.
