I was going with $19 worth of Cool-Aid, but I like you're thinking.

I COULD put it in the bank and save it...but the last time I deposited a check that small the bank lady laughed at me.
So cashing it and blowing it on drugs is apparently the only option available...

Still like that Cool-Aid idea...
But cheeseburgers ARE delicious.

Wow I love capitalism. Cheesy

Go to Walmart. Buy rope, k-y jelly and a box of .22s. Look shifty while you do it, and twitch a lot.

You took back 19 dollars? Have you no consideration for the poor, the children, or needy government workers?

Reminds me of a THR story...a guy was going duck hunting.  Picked up a box of shells, a box of condoms to put over his barrels, and a box of girly products for his girlfriend.

No, I hate kids.

What is your excuse for the poor and the government workers? Nevermind, hating kids is enough for me. Will you be my neighbor?

Yes, with your massive return you can buy, well, an empty ammo box!

That's one box of .45 ball and a cup of coffee.

Oh, I hate adults too.  SURE!  We can shoot pellet guns at my other neighbors.

I'm actually saving up for a handgun...going to go to the local shop when I get enough and see what kind of discount they'll give me for a full cash payment. Smiley

Speaking of the gunshop...  I should start inquiring about that Mauser they got up there.

Dunno about you, but over here we got over 300 government agencies. My own completely non-scientific evaluation says that we could do away with atleast 270 and no one would know the difference, except for those who work there of course, but they hardly count...

Viking:

Don't take this as as slap at your country, but do y'all have enough people to staff 300+ agencies?

On a more serious note, what proportion of the population works for the government?  It must rival Washington, DC in the proportion of the workforce getting a paycheck from government.

Some of the agencies are small, probably meant mostly to give plush jobs to party comrades, or to appeal to the enviro-nuts (but our new government is cutting down on many of the more "eh, wtf, there's an agency for THAT? (comparative folk dancing - I *expletive deleted*it you not!)". Hopefully they'll get rid of as many of them as possible. Taken to the extreme, I figure we could do perfectly with 10-15 agencies...health, defence, police, school and a few other...
I'm not sure how who works directly or indirectly for the state...I'd wager there's quite a few...I can try to look it up.

Holy crap...figures I read says 204000 people employed by various gov't agencies...

After a $5 cover charge and the two drink minimum, get half of a lap dance?
Does any image illustrate so neatly the wrongheadedness of the Obama administration than Americans scrambling in terror from Air Force One?
Just great…Chicago politics has spread to all 57 states.

MBS,

That's what I strive to do with my taxes.  I want to be within $100 either way.  I don't want to give Uncle Sugar an interest free loan, nor do I want to have to cough up a huge pile of cash in April.

This year, not so good:  $880 back from the Feds and $127 from the state.
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.
