From way back in 2014 comes an article that needs to be read all the way to the end. (https://www.eater.com/2014/11/5/7155501/life-in-chains-kfc-taco-bell)

A long time ago, I spent two weeks in Oakland, California, doing seismic retrofits on a pair of houses owned by my then lady friend. I didn't know my way around, so I didn't do much driving. I also didn't have any idea where I could find a supermarket. There was a Taco Bell within easy walking distance, so I became a regular at Taco Bell. It was ... okay.

Long way to get to the "moral of the story" but it was a bit heart warming. If Taco Hell didn't always give me the shits these days, I might like the story better. I actually love their Caramel Apple Empanadas and the Burrito Supreme!
