I am screwed: I have neither a bunker nor a retreat in New Zealand.

I wonder if the Russians are still targeting that silo in Kansas.

That is an interesting observation; building a survival bunker precisely where all our enemies already have plans to shoot with stuff capable of extreme cratering might not be the best plan.

I mean, what better way to hide active silos than to put up a few "decommissioned silo bunker for sale" websites listing prices few would bother to inquire beyond?  One or two legit model sites to show "prospective buyers" from foreign intelligence agencies, and a bunch of mocked up "private survival sites."

IMO, the biggest problem if everything works is going to be not going postal when you're trapped in there for who-knows-how-long with 10-20 other random families who's only common ground is that they previously had a couple million to blow on a bunker condo.

I have been informed there is a cave in my general area, where a group of people have been stockpiling their survival rations. I wonder if someone is waiting for the stockpile to grow large enough, and at that point, they move it to their real bunker.  >:D

As we all know, money can get you gear, and might get you classes.  It's the skills and wilingness to use them that will mean everything if the defecation hits the ocilation.   In a bunker full of rich people, who is going to be willng to do dishes and scrub toilets.  Or empty the 5 gallon privy when the toilet doesn't work?  I'd imagine that there would end up being a hell of a fight about the pecking order in that place when it cae time to really do dirty jobs, and no one wants to get their tacticool gloves all dirty.
