Starting things off with a bang.  A couple bits from my social media, so YMMV.

Looks like some of the NG folks don't have much respect for their CiC.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.

Because the Fraud in Chief doesn't deserve it.
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Americans didn't give them the violent excuse to be totalitarians so they're making it themselves with their own paramilitary branch of progressivism.

First they come for the "terrorists", then they come for everyone. It's true.

Glad it's over and happened without incident.  The irony just hit me:  The same people who want to defund the police called for 25,000 troops to enforce the law.

And then they stored the troops in a parking garage. It was the last straw for Texas, and Abbott recalled all his Guardsmen.

All this for nothing but a progressive (and some Rs) show, and further gaslighting about "insurrectionists". The troops would have been better used in Portland and Seattle, where there actually is violence that the dems continue to ignore.

I'll just sit here and hold my breath for them to hold Madam Speaker accountable for the troops being tossed. She is in charge of the capital grounds.

Not at all surprising. The Oathkeepers are predominately former (and I guess current) military, and in Idaho at least, the majority of Three Percenters are former military.

Kind of leaves out that much of what Biden is facing is self-inflicted by Democrats.

How much of the social strife in the 60's was due to the Vietnam War which Johnson had a big hand in creating.

As a follow up, the FBI made a big deal about armed marches and potential violence by "the radical right"  at all 50 state capitols. No one at all showed up in Idaho, and apparently that was the case in other states as well. In fact I haven't heard of any violence at all by conservatives on the day of these marches.

The sad part is that despite what is obvious, they will still do what ever the majority in government tells them to do, be it asking how high to jump, or firing on US Citizens.
