I've always liked the name of the AMC Javelin. (Let's give them some love since they also made the Gremlin...)
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

I always liked Detomaso Mangusta myself. Seems like the name could double as a pasta dish.

The Chevy II was the only car we had in the early eighties, until we got an old Nova.

We eventually gave it to Uncle Roger.  He spray-painted it black.   =(

F-150.

Ever hear the real reason why Ford puts the letter F in front of its truck names? It symbolizes the amount of swear words one utters while filling the tank.  F150  F250   F350  =D

F650.

Cool Pickup. How big is it? It looks like it would make a neat tow truck.

Jamis' future daily driver:

Awesome! I'd like to ride in something close to that size if I ever get the chance. It would be cool to watch someone working the big clutch. I wonder how long the throw is on the shifter. Anyone ever ridden in a big truck?

That would work well for JJ's commute since it consists of walking from his bedroom to the kitchen.

I've driven work trucks about that size (dumptrucks and such).  The clutch isn't much different than any other truck, the shifter throw isn't any longer than another truck.  On the dumps I drove, you had two gear ranges, so you had a little switch in addition to the clutch to move from lo-range to hi-range, but you only needed that when loaded.

Other than the size and the hi/lo selector, it wasn't much different than driving a pickup with a manual transmission.

Not an original concept.

I remember when the International CXT first came out, and then I saw my first one.

Ford only recently hopped onto the mega-pickup bandwagon.

http://mycxt.com/internationalcxt.html

They also expanded into the MXT and RXT models.

I believe all three are discontinued as of last fall, thanks to gas prices.

I'm not sure what the point of the megapickups is other than the codpiece factor.  You can do an amazing amount of work with an F350 turbodiesel, anything else is probably going to require something other than a pickup truck.

Then again, I haven't seen anyone doing "work" with a megapickup.

Toyota Pious would be a great car name for one of their hybrid vehicles.
