Ex-Dallas cop Amber Guyger found guilty of murdering her neighbor

Newspaper said she'll be eligible for parole in only 5 years.

As long as we're speculating, maybe she convincingly expressed remorse for killing the guy?

That.  And she was a police officer who likely did not have a prior criminal history.  Unlikely to commit more crimes after she is released.  Will still be on parole restrictions for a long time.

And one of the primary witnesses against the police officer was gunned down under mysterious circumstances in his apartment building parking lot.  Just a few days after the trial.  Hmmm.

So what did he testify about?  All it says is this:

Mr. Brown testified about the night of the fatal shooting, saying that he had heard gunshots after a surprise encounter between his one-time neighbors.

Did he actually contribute anything to the trial one way or the other?

Apparently the death of Mr. Brown was a drug deal gone bad.  He was sellling, things went sour, he shot at one of the three men, and one of them shot back, killing Mr. Brown.  Stupid games, stupid prizes, I guess.
