So, I find a free, working injection molding machine in KC. Thinking "Hey, I'd like to try that; and the price is right!" I got looking into the machine. I'm thinking production runs of polymer pistol frames.
It's considered small for production work. That said, it weighs about 5 tons.
I was okay up till I saw the power requirements. 460 Volt. 3 Phase. 70 Amps. That's 30,000 watts!
Don't think I'm going to be running *that* in my home shop any time soon! Still - one heck of a good deal. The scrap value alone makes it worth moving...
