I think the Batmobile could do that too.    I'm not sure about the Knight Industries Two Thousand ....

I think the Knight Industries Two Thousand would just knock the other cars out of the way. 

It seems to me you wouldn't a whole lot to make this 5th wheel work.  Not even a full tire.  Interesting idea though.

We have cars that literally park themselves, and cars that can be driven in and out of parking spots from the fey fob, and you guys want a janky fifth wheel?

That's about what I was thinking.  We do have cars that do that, there's even one with 4 wheel steering out there.

One problem I can see with such a system is that while YOU might be able to get into the spot, what happens when, by doing so, you block other cars in, because they don't have enough room front or back to get out?

That might result in a certain amount of vandalism, not to mention "pushes" as people get out anyways.
