Well, looks like I managed to kill about half of it.

My lawn is now short, to my neighbors' specifications, but it looks like it has mange.

Gonna watch the weather, and mow it once more when it looks like it'll finish the job.

Well, half of our backyard now looks like a hay field, and the other half looks like something you'd expect to find under an overpass on the interstate.

The front lawn doesn't look like it's long, but that's only because the grass is lying down.

But, hey, it's green!

(Note to self: this means I'll have to rake the grass upright before I can mow it Sad ).

I can keep my St Augustine green by mowing at the tallest setting and watering once every 1.5 weeks in drought conditions.

This year, though, we have had so much rain, I chop it off real short, cause if I don't,  I can't get the mower through it next week.

Same here.  I should be mowing twice a week to keep it civilized, but there's too much rain for that.

In every lawn thread my response is the same.
I cannot express in words or in a way a human mortal can understand how much I hate lawn work/care.
Pave over it and paint it green.

Sunday it felt a little better, but it was quite irritated from me rubbing it.

If you watch any of the really early episodes of the Porter Waggoner show she was in (1967) it's very clear that he was well endowed.
