Yep, it time for a little CCR here at Festung Scout:

Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

So even if I wanted to, I'm not going anywhere tonight.  They are replacing the sewer line with a much larger one.  And after they get done, we get new street, new curbs, new driveway aprons and new sod.

Weird, I had a dream about that song last night....

I was working in a store and this gal came in and said something that reminded me of that song, so I started describing it to her (driving too long and getting so tired that you are seeing things).

Then I said, "well, you should remember that song - you recorded it way back when!"

In my dream I was positive that I was talking to Jody Miller, but she was still young and hot, even though I knew it was ~40 years ago that she recorded it.  =|

I was thinking CCR translated to Custom Crapper Repair (not the band) and you were getting a new spetic system.

I thought "Do do do do!" was in reference to Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrain's speech impediment from "Dukes of Hazard".

They say the memory is the first thing to go.  :P

Actually it is the second thing to go.  Just you can never remember the first. =D

There is/was a bar in Gladstone Mi, in the UP, the Arcadia, that the bands would play CCR all night long.  This was back in the 70s.  On Saturday night all the UP hefers would come to town and dance.  I swear the wood floor would bounce up and down 10 inches when those big babes were out there.  Tamborenes and elephants were in the band......chris3

Which, strangely enough, reminds me of going to the gym pool when all the hefty mamas were dilly dallying about trying to convince themselves they were doing water aerobics. The view under the water was not unlike that of the video clips you see of hippos walking on the bottom.  ;)

Nothing better than "forced" down time. Take advantage of it Scout and do something relaxing!

I wouldn't recommend that. Harold may be more interested in a bribe from me than from you. And revenge is a female dog you know.
