That article, and the Washington Post, are reporting that he had a "firearms license." I'm assuming they mean to own a firearm; not to carry one. Even so, isn't that pretty hard to get in New Jersey?

I don't think it's all that difficult to get a ownership permit. What's nearly impossible in NJ is for an ordinary (meaning not connected) person to get a carry permit.

Not hard to get a purchase permit. But I thought I read somewhere this guy had a rap sheet? That would make in no bueno.

I needed a mod to change my signature because the concept of "family friendly" eludes me.
Just noticed that a mod changed my signature. How long ago was that?
